For me, coffee has to be a ritual —a moment when I pause the day, focusing on the scent, the taste, that first, warm sip. That's why I reach for the AeroPress so often. It's my little daily ceremony.
I love the moment when the aroma of freshly ground beans fills the air and the first drops of coffee begin to unleash their story. With the AeroPress, I can play with time, temperature, proportions… and each time I discover a completely different character from the same bean. Sometimes it's a delicate floral touch and the juiciness of fruit, sometimes a deep chocolate with a velvety body. And always without a hint of bitterness, which I dislike.
The AeroPress is unique – it combines simplicity with complete control over the process. It gives you the freedom to experiment while ensuring that each cup will be pure in flavor and free from any unwanted notes.
Purity of taste begins with quality
I avoid chemicals wherever possible, which is why I use the original, glass AeroPress with stainless steel components. It's taste-neutral, durable, and beautiful.
- Filters – always natural, unbleached.
- Water – filtered, soft, below 100 TDS, taste neutral.
- Freshness of beans – I choose coffees roasted at least 1–2 weeks earlier, but no later than 2 months after roasting, to preserve the full aroma.
My tips for using Aeropress
1. Classic method – tea-like, light and clear
- Proportions: 14 g of coffee per 250 ml of water
- Grind: medium
- Temperature: 89–90°C
- Pre-infusion: 30 seconds (I pour 50 ml of water, wait, then add the rest)
Effect: a tea-like infusion – light, clean
2. Reverse method – stronger, full body
- Proportions: 18 g of coffee per 200 ml of water
- Grind: medium
- Temperature: 90°C
- Pre-infusion: 30 seconds (I pour 50 ml of water, mix, then add the rest)
The result: a denser body, more intense flavor, velvety texture – perfect for those who enjoy stronger sensations.
3. Espresso-like – to drink alone or as a base for milk
- Proportions: 20 g of coffee per 100 ml of water
- Grinding: fine
- Temperature: 90–92°C
- Brewing time: short, firm pressure approximately 15 seconds after pre-infusion
The result: a concentrated infusion with an intense character, great on its own, but also ideal as a base for a flat white or cappuccino – bitterness minimized, taste clean and balanced.
For me, the AeroPress isn't just a tool. It's a moment in my day when coffee becomes a bridge between the world and me. A ritual that reminds me to slow down and let the flavor tell its story—sip by sip.
